Who is BoxOffice

The creator of BoxOffice has spent the last twenty years designing environments for some of the biggest names in the film and television industry – Marvel, Disney, ABC, Nickelodeon, Netflix, and others.
In 2020, when the world was hit with a global pandemic, the film industry in Hollywood North changed dramatically and took a pause. This pause created space for an idea that had been percolating for nearly ten years. An idea to design and create a beautiful self contained workspace that could be placed in a backyard or external space. A home office, outside the home. As COVID-19 spread and more people were working from home, it was clear the time had come to bring BoxOffice to life.
Request
BoxOffice reached out to us pretty early in the process of setting up this new enterprise. Once we had heard the pitch, we were sold. Especially considering COVID had been raging around the world at the time. They already had an established designer working on a brand, so what they needed from us was a relatively simple “brochure” site. Since, their product includes several possible customization options and add-ons, the website had to include a rather thorough “build and provide estimate” tool. And, of course, time was of the essence so that they could take this product to the market and provide potential clients with a backyard office to help them through COVID and the new normal.
Solution
As expected, about 70% of our development time for this project was spent on the Build page. Using the WooCommerce plugin, and the addition of a few plugins + customization, we built a slick online tool that lets the visitor start by choosing their exterior skin, followed by the Interior finish. Once those have been selected, they then select any optional extra add-ons and/or site services, and then proceed to the checkout page to submit their estimate request.
